cool question-answering

I walked into the bathroom to find Kaegan hopping around and I asked him, "What are you doing?"  He said, "I'm playing!"

If you know him well, you know that questions are difficult for him and his usual response is to repeat the question back to you.  So, answering a question is a very big deal.  Some of you also know that since he has started answering questions, he answers very literally...for example, in the circumstance described above, he would normally answer, "I'm jumping."  This time, he answered a more ambiguous, "I'm playing!" 

Really amazing!

Another neat thing I wanted to journal here is that the other day, he got very upset about something that I could do nothing about.  He went into another room for a while, and came back with a big, fake smile, and said, "KK is HAPPY."  So nice that he is being able to choose to be happy even when things haven't gone his way.  He is doing this more and more...learning is so cool!
