quick quote

from (autistic author) Judith Bluestone's, The Fabric of Autism, concerning experience sharing:

"...The sharing is what it is all about. But from my experience, when the readiness is there, for those who were diagnosed high-functioning or low-functioning ASD alike, training for sharing is not necessary. Once I can be in the same environment as you without feeling stressed, without going into fright/flight/fight reaction, without knowing my very safety and survival are at stake, I can share. If I am brave enough to remain in this world from one day to the next, then I am brave enough to venture across those bridges when I know the supporting islands are not moving out from under me."
